The New Italy Mountain Bike Park is for the exclusive use of mountain bikers only and are managed under a Forestry Corporation NSW occupation permit by Northern Rivers Dirty Wheels Mountain Bike Club Incorporated.

A 35-minute drive from Lismore or Ballina, its proximity to the New Italy Museum Cafe also makes it an ideal location for an all-round family outing.

The main entrance to the trail network is just a five minute drive from the New Italy turnoff, on Cypress Rd just west of the junction with Forest Rd.

"You can come for a ride in the middle of a bush, and you've got a cafe right there,"

There's a large dirt car park with a small sign to mark the entrance to the first trail, with the words "yabba dabba do" inviting riders to enjoy themselves.

The family-friendly, flowing series of tracks the park is designed for both beginners and experienced riders, and young and old. There are currently around 45km of trails with more planned.
