With the Nightcap National Park and Mount Warning on our doorstep, awareness of the opportunities for developing a wider network of trails is growing and local government, business and rider support also growing.
There are currently a number of dedicated mountain bike parks in the area at Duck Creek, Goonellabah, New Italy and Kyogle, with several more a little further afield. Check out our blogs for each of these.
Development of a Northern Rivers Rail Trail along the abandoned Casino to Murwillumbah rail line is also moving forward, but needs the support and involvement of more local cycling enthusiasts.
Get involved with your local club and bike shop to help grow this great sport in a region renowned for is spectacular scenery, great climate and wide range of other facilities and activities.
